AI can organize information, identify visible cosmetic patterns, compare product attributes, and turn a complicated routine into a clearer sequence. It should not pretend that a phone photograph is a medical examination or that uncertainty disappears because an answer sounds confident.
Show how the answer was formed
Useful guidance makes its inputs visible: the photos provided, image-quality limits, stated concerns, sensitivity, routine, climate, budget, and product information. When the context is weak, the system should ask for better context or reduce the strength of the recommendation.
Explain the recommendation
“Buy this” is not guidance. A responsible recommendation states the product’s job, why its format or ingredients fit, what tradeoffs exist, how it enters the routine, and what would make it a poor choice. Explanation lets the user disagree intelligently.
- Keep cosmetic observations separate from diagnosis.
- Avoid guaranteed outcomes and fabricated precision.
- Escalate concerning symptoms to qualified care.
- Give people meaningful control over photos and saved data.
- Make deletion and limitations easy to find.
Preserve the exit
The system should make it easy to stop, simplify, seek professional care, or choose no new product. Trust does not come from making the product feel magical. It comes from boundaries that remain visible when certainty would be more persuasive.
